Santa's got a sleigh full of festive fun for you! Plan your Christmas season, with all the events listed in one convenient place, with links for even more information….. 

Dec 6th: So much going on this day!

9:30am: Take Your Child to a Bookstore Day at Books to Be Red. Includes storytime and snacks!

11am - 6pm: Open House at Roxy's Antiques and Ocracoke Restoration

1pm: Home basketball games: girls start at 1pm; boys will start around 3. 

Books signing at Books to Be Red 12:30 – 3pm. Come out to meet author Pat Garber, will be signing copies of her newest book PAWS AND TALES. Please come out to meet Pat and talk with her about her novel set on Ocracoke. Refreshments, too! 

Holiday Historic Homes Tour. 3–5pm. Advance tickets available from the OPS Museum 928-7375. $15 or $12 for OPS members. The houses this year are down Lighthouse Road and Creek Road from the Island Inn to the Castle.

Gumbo fundraiser to benefit Ocracoke Child Care. 3 – 5pm on the porch of Corkey's Store (during the Historic Homes Tour). $6 for gumbo and rice. 

Dec 7thLibrary Cookie Swap, 2pm at the library. Entertainment provided by Webelo Boy Scouts, Capt. Rob Temple, and the Methodist Children's Choir. Bring a dozen or more cookies to share; take home the same amount of assorted goodies. 

Roxy's and Ocracoke Restoration will continue their Open Houses on Sunday 11am-6pm.  

Dec 8th: UMW Christmas Dinner at Community Center, 6pm. All the women in the community are invited to join the potluck. Bring a gift for the exchange if you wish. 

Dec 9th: OPS Wassail Party and Community Tree Lighting. 5-7pm at the OPS Museum. Live music, wassail, and treats. Free. 

Dec 11th: Santa at the Variety Store. 3 – 5pm. No donation or money needed. Come get your pciture taken with the jolly old elf!

Also Dec 11th is the Scholastic Book Fair Family Night at the Library 6:30pm. Books, crafts, and fun!

Scholastic Book Fair at the Library: Dec 11th – 16th. Book fair is open weekdays 8am – 7pm and Saturday 9am – 1pm.

Dec 12-13th: Holiday Basketball Tournament at Ocracoke School.

Dec 13th: Community Christmas Concert, 7pm at Community Center. Performers of all ages! Let Sundae (921-0283) know if you'd like to be in the show. Free, though we are asking for donations of non-perishable food items for the food pantry. And Ocracoke School's 2nd grade will be having a bake sale. Sponsored by OCBA. 

Dec 13th: Breakfast fundraiser for Cub Scouts, 7:00am - 9:30am @ the church Rec Hall. $8 for pancakes, sausage and drink.

Dec 14th: Breakfast with Santa to benefit Ocracoke Child Care. $10 a plate. 8 – 10am at Topless Oyster Restaurant.   Also Dec. 14th is the Christmas program at Ocracoke Assembly of God Church, 7pm. All are welcome! 
Dec 17th: Christmas Caroling, meet at Methodist Church at 5pm. They are hosting the chili supper after the caroling.   

Dec 18th: Ocracoke School Christmas program, 7pm in the gym. 

Dec 19th: Choral Concert with the Joyful Band of Singers. 7:30 at the Methodist Church. Free. Donations to church accepted. Sponsored by Ocracoke Alive. 

Also, Dec 19th: Judging for the annual "Island Celebration" holiday decorating contest. 5:30-7:30pm. 

Also Dec 19th: Hot Toddies with Santa @ Gaffer's Sports Pub. "Grown-up" Christmas party, 7pm - midnight. $40 for open bar and buffet, and live music. Proceeds benefit Ocracoke Community Park. 

Dec 20th: Live Nativity at the Methodist Church, 6 – 7pm. POSTPONED due to weather to December 21st, 5:30 - 6:30pm   Also Dec 20th  Ocracoke Rockers at the Topless Oyster! Band starts at 8:30pm.
Dec 24th: Christmas Eve service at the Methodist Church, with the children's Christmas pageant. 7:30pm. 

Dec. 27th: Ocracoke Working Watermen's Oyster Roast, starts 2pm at the Ocracoke Seafood Company Fish House. Dessert at the Working Watermen's Exhibit, 3-5pm.
