….Christmas!   Community Tree Lighting will be Tuesday, December 9th.

All are welcome to the annual Wassail Party and Community Christmas Tree Lighting at the OPS Museum.

The festivities start at 5 pm and include the lighting of the Christmas tree, live holiday music provided by Susan Stuck and Fiddler Dave Tweedie, lots of tasty cookies and snacks, and the delicious hot wassail punch. Yum!

The museum gift shop will be open during the Wassail Party (5 – 7pm), with lots of special sales. They've added some fun new items this year, so be sure to stop in and pick up some unique gifts for your friends and family. Don’t forget, OPS members get 10% off regular prices! The museum closes for the season after the Wassail Party, so shop while you can!

Local author Pat Garber will be at the Wassail Party signing and selling copies of her latest book and first novel, Paws and Tails.

Tuesday night will also be your last chance to buy raffle tickets to win the beautiful sailboat quilt, handmade and donated by the Ocracoke Needle and Thread Club. Tickets are only $1 each or 6 for $5! The drawing will be held at the Wassail Party and the lucky winner will be notified right away. If you buy a ticket, it could be you!

Pat and Chester rest and admire their work.
