Bake Sale
Wednesday, November 27th, starting at 1pm. Stop by the Variety Store porch to get your cakes, pies, bread, and sweet treats for your Thanksgiving dinner! Sponsored by the United Methodist Women.
Thanksgiving Dinner and other delicious meals
Dajio Restaurant, Gaffer's Sports Pub, the Flying Melon Cafe, and the Topless Oyster Restaurant will serve Thanksgiving Dinner so you don't have to cook!
Howard's Pub will also be open Thanksgiving Day serving their full menu.
The Flying Melon will be open 1 - 7pm on Thanksgiving, serving a special holiday menu.
The Topless Oyster will have live music with Martin and Friends on Friday night (starting at 6pm). Gaffer's will host Team Trivia night on Tuesday (7pm), and provide live music with Urban Soul on Friday and Saturday nights (9pm).

Zillie's is offering three festive wine tastings this week on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, followed by their annual Open House on Sunday, December 1st starting at noon.
Book Signing at Books to Be Red
Friday, November 29th, 3 - 5pm. Ann Ehringhaus will be signing copies of her new books, Ten Thousand Breakfasts, which is about her experiences as proprietor of Oscar's House Bed and Breakfast on Ocracoke for 30 years. Learn more about Ann and her book here.
Molasses Creek in concert
Friday, November 29th, 8pm at Deepwater Theater. Doors open at 7:30pm.

Community Rummage Sale
Saturday, November 30th, 8am – Noon, at the Community Square
All are welcome to set up a table and sell some stuff! Clothes, toys, books, housewares, etc, etc.! Clear your clutter before Santa brings you more!
Square Dance!
Saturday, November 30th, 7:30pm, at the Ocracoke Community Center. Put on your dancing shoes and come out to learn traditional Ocracoke square dances with caller Philip Howard. It's easy to learn and fun, too. And there's live music and refreshments! This free event is sponsored by Ocracoke Alive.
Give Thanks, then give Toys for Tots
The Variety Store will be collecting new, unopened, unwrapped, toys for Toys for Tots. Help spread some Christmas cheer to children in need. The store will have a collection box for the toys in place by the end of the week.

Avoid the Black Friday crowds in the big city, and get your holiday shopping done this week on Ocracoke. The island is home to dozens of unique shops – we've got crafts, local art, souvenirs, t-shirts, jewelry, antiques, decoys, surf gear, clothing, tackle and fishing supplies, housewares, wine and gourmet gifts, books, music, cigars, toys, crab pot Christmas trees, and more. Gift certificates to local businesses make great presents. There's something for everyone on your list. Most island shops will be open every day this week except Thursday.
