OCBA Meeting Tonight

This is their first membership meeting since last September.

The OCBA board has been busy these last few months working the Magellan/Element marketing/branding project, organizational structure (finances, personnel), bylaws revisions, and more.

The membership meeting is Wednesday, March 15, at 7pm at the Community Center – come out to hear about these updates and give your input.

1.Treasurer’s report

  • Cash on Hand
    • 2016/17 Budget Approved (summary review)
    • Monthly Report to Directors as to Funds Spent as compared to Budget (explain value and process)
    • Control/Banking Procedures (explain what is being put in place)
    • CPA employed (Chuck Saunders)
    • Preparation of 2017/18 Budget and Occupancy Tax Request (due 3/27)
    • Walking Map/Advertising Program (Income/Expenditures)  appears to be under budget on expenses and at least as good as prior year on income
    • Completion of Web Site (over budget some $1,200)
    • 2016 Tax Return Filed
  1. President’s report (what we’ve been doing over the winter)  (Connie Leinbach for Rudy Austin)
  • Had to quickly get Walking Map done and oversee Magellan/Element work; finish website work.  New procedures for checks and deposits; bylaws; reorganization (BOD meets and a few Contributors meetings throughout the year).
  • Planned Events for 2016/17 balance of year: July 3 & 4 (fireworks and activities), Fig Fest (Aug. 18), Blackbeard’s Pirate Jamboree (Oct. 28 to 30)
