Ocrafolk Festival This Weekend!!

Friday, June 6, 2014
4:00-5:00 PM -- Storytelling with students from Donald Davis's Storytelling Workshop. (Deepwater Theater)
Come join participants in Donald Davis's Storytelling Workshop Week as they share new stories they have been crafting!

4:30-6:30 PM-- Ocrafolk Festival Fundraising Silent Art Auction/Live Auction Preview
7:00 PM -- Live Auction
(Berkley Manor near the Village Ferry Docks)

A much-anticipated event, the art auction this year will focus on local artists — Ocracoke and the OBX. Complimentary desserts will be offered to guests and a cash wine/beer bar will be available beginning at 4:30 PM.  The Silent Auction and Live Auction Preview will be from 4:30-6:30 PM. The auction will start promptly at 7:00 PM. Artwork offered will be also be previewed on this webpage.


5:00-7:00 PM -- Ocrafolk Festival Fish Fry w/special appearance by the Joyful Band of Singers (Ocracoke Preservation Museum) Price of $15 includes a main dish, sides, and tea or water.  A special plate of mac n' cheese & peas will be made available to children only for $5.  Dessert will be free at the Ocrafolk Festival Art Auction, to be held at the Berkley Center.

9:00-10:00 PM – World Music Jam hosted by Beleza (Live Oak Stage @ Books to be Red) 

9:00 - 11:00 PM  Martin Garrish and the Ocracoke Rockers Dance(Community Center) ~ Dance the night away with this classic Ocracoke band at the Community Center. Cash bar.

11:15-12:00 PM -- Raygun Ruby (Community Center) ~ Relive the 80s with great dance music from April Trueblood, Lou Castro, Jubal Creech, and Kenny Furr.

 
Saturday, June 7
