Stormwater Task Force Meeting Thursday, Jan 16th
Major puddling areas of Ocracoke Village
Justin LeBlanc was asked by OCBA to spearhead the development of an "Ocracoke Stormwater Task Force" to assess potential remedies to the substantial puddling problems in the village.
The Task Force will establish its leadership, mission, and objectives, but in general they will focus on:- Identifying current "Status" of storm water management including existing infrastructure and authorities/responsibilities;
- Identifying all significant puddling problems in the village and prioritizing such;
- Identifying without bias ALL potential storm water management solutions;
- Assessing all storm water management solutions for feasibility, efficacy, sustainability, and viability;
- Ultimately recommending a storm water management solution; securing broad community support for such, and working towards its effective implementation.
