Fish Fry to Benefit Local Family

Fish Fry to Benefit Local Family
Your lunch is taken care of this Saturday. Locally caught fish and the fixings!

Starting at noon until it is gone. There'll be a bake sale, too, sponsored by the Ocracoke Middle School volleyball team. (Jessica is one of their coaches.) If you'd like to contribute some homemade goodies to the bake sale, please do!

And... there will be a couple of Miss Kay's famous chocolate cakes being raffled. Enter for your chance to win some serious deliciousness!

Update: This fundraiser is getting bigger and better! Several local businesses have donated gift certificates, and the list keeps getting longer. Leslie Lanier and Daniela Gilbert are organizing the donations, and plan to have raffles and/or a silent auction. Either way, the prizes will be great!

All proceeds will benefit Jeffrey and Jessica, to help them care for their new babies. Sam and Cora were born on September 11th about twelve weeks premature and will be spending some time in the NICU at Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters in Norfolk, Va. They have a long road ahead, but they are both fighters and the Ocracoke community is behind them with love and support.

There is also an account at VantageSouth Bank for the twins. If you'd like to make a donation, the bank staff can assist you in depositing to the "Cora & Samuel" account. The family appreciates all your thoughts, prayers, and support.
