At Friday's Praise in the Village concert, 75% of the audience's love offering went to Jessica Caldwell and Jeffrey Walters.

Jessica and Jeffrey's twin babies were born Wednesday, September 11th about ten weeks premature. Samuel David and Cora Ann will be in the NICU for some time while they grow big enough to come home to Ocracoke.

"We would like to help them with some of their expenses," said Pastor Ivey Belch of Ocracoke Assembly of God. "A love offering is to be taken up for the singing group and we would like to give 75% to Jeffrey and Jessica. We hope it will be a little bit of a help to them."

The Sammy Glass Family will perform on the stage at Books to Be Red starting at 6pm tonight (rain location: Ocracoke Assembly of God Church). Please bring a chair and come out to enjoy some bluegrass and gospel music from this talented family, and make a donation for Jessica and Jeffrey.

"I know this is a last minute request," Ivey said. "But please help us as a community support and love them!"

UPDATE:  There is now an account at VantageSouth Bank for Jessica and Jeffrey's new twins. If you'd like to make a donation, the bank staff can assist you in depositing to the "Cora & Samuel" account. The family expects the babies to be in the NICU for some time and they appreciate all your thoughts, prayers, and support.
