Camryn Mather Lewis is just 4 weeks old and already she's visited Ocracoke school with her mommy and gone out reading water meters with her daddy!

Camryn was born December 18th to proud parents Claudia and Robbie Lewis. She arrived at 2:51 a.m. and weighed 6 lb. 9 oz.

She came to school last Thursday to meet the second graders who've been anxiously awaiting her arrival. (Claudia is their teacher.) Camryn was the classroom "Star of the Week" and the kids made a bulletin board in her honor. According to the students, Camryn has a lot of opinions for someone so young – her favorite color is red and she really likes Dora the Explorer books.

It's not just the 2nd graders who love her. Camryn also has plenty of family on and off the island. Her grandparents are Sharon and Mark Justice of Ocracoke, and Carolyn McCorkle of Wilmington, NC (who came to visit for two weeks after Camryn was born.) She also has a great-grandmother, Peggy O'Neal, who lives on Ocracoke. Camryn has eight first cousins, including Jackson and Chloe on Ocracoke. Jackson has already been a great help to his Aunt Claudia and loves to hold his new baby cousin.

Claudia says she's a good baby, even if she does have her days and nights mixed up.

Welcome, Camryn!
