Ocracoke residents can EARLY VOTE in Swan Quarter this week.

Or, we can wait until Election Day.

Early Voting in Swan Quarter at the Hyde County Board of Elections is available to ALL county residents this week, October 26th–30th, 8am–5pm and also Saturday, October 31st, 8am–3pm. One-Stop Early Voting is located at the Board of Elections office: 1223 Main St. Swan Quarter, NC 27885 (Enter the Public Safety Building and walk straight ahead through the door on the left, next to the sheriff's front desk window.)

It's not even to late to register! If you take the ferry to Swan Quarter you can register *and* vote at the SAME TIME:

You DON'T need an I.D. to vote. However, if you are registering and voting AT THE SAME TIME at One-Stop Early Voting, then you need to bring proof of residence, which can be a North Carolina driver’s license, OR other photo identification issued by a government agency -- any government-issued photo ID is acceptable, provided that the card includes your current name and address, OR a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, OR other government document showing your name and address.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3rd. Polls open at 6:30am and close at 7:30pm. You *must* vote in your precinct and you must be pre-registered to vote on Election Day.
