Ocracoke Alive will pay local artists to teach workshops on the island.

Calling all Ocracoke starving artists! If you can teach a 2-day workshop on your craft, Ocracoke Alive will pay you and provide supplies – and the rest of us island residents can attend for FREE! I can already think of several local artists I'd like to learn from. Should I name names?

Here are the details:

Ocracoke Island Artists invited to teach winter workshops February-April.

Ocracoke Alive is inviting Ocracoke Island artists to teach winter workshops introducing interested community members to different art mediums. Funds have been made available for teaching workshops for two categories.

  • Adult Students Workshops (For ages 15-Adult) ~ The format for these workshops is for two consecutive afternoon/evenings.
  • Student Workshops ~ (For Ocracoke School Students) ~ Instructors will be working with a variety of Ocracoke School student over a couple of days.

Support for this program made possible in part through donations received from an Arts of the Pamlico fundraiser. Many thanks to them for their contributions!

Teaching spots are limited. Funding is provided for the instructor and supplies. Classes will be free for attendees.
