Gov. Cooper Signs Disaster Bill

Today, Governor Cooper signed the following bills into law: 

Governor Cooper's spokesperson, Ford Porter, shared the following statement on House Bill 200:

"This legislation helps families recovering from Dorian and previous storms, especially those left behind by the federal government. The Governor pushed for this funding and the Republican leadership was willing to risk losing it by attaching unrelated political power grabs, but the Governor believes helping these survivors must prevail." 

Also of interest to Hyde County is funding for the Lake Mattamuskeet pump station included in House Bill 200.
