Beautiful spring days -- and race weekend on the way....

NPS volunteers and rangers open the Ocracoke Lighthouse a couple of times a week. (You can go in, but not up!) Stop by the NPS Visitor Center for specific times or check the Current's Facebook page.

8pm: Live Music! Opening Night @ Coyote Music Den Friday nights through October 25th, Fridays at the Den will be Marcy & Lou "In Concert" with a special guest (or not) at 8pm (doors at 7:30). A fun, heart-felt evening of live music in a magical setting.

Saturday, April 27th:

8am: Ocracoke 5K/10K Welcome, runners! The race goes through the village. Keep an eye out for the runners!

12noon: Independent Bookstore Day @ Books to Be Red. Noon-4pm, There will be lots of food, give-a-ways, and festive beverages! Celebrate one of the best bookstores on the planet that we are lucky enough to have here on Ocracoke. 

6:30pm: Live Music! Martin & Friends @ Ocracoke Oyster Company. 

Sunday, March 28th: 

Services @ both churches: Ocracoke United Methodist (Sunday School 10am; service at 11am) and Ocracoke Assembly of God (Sunday School 10am, services at 11am and 6pm; also Wednesday night service at 7pm).
