OCC Hosts Kids' Craft on Saturday
You know what’s fun about art? There’s really no wrong way to make your own piece! And your child can do just that on Saturday, December 8! The Ocracoke Child Care Board is hosting a fundraising event at the Community Center from 9-11am, and for only $10 a head we will watch your tiny human while also providing a great creative opportunity!
The Board has been working tirelessly to re-open the center, and this is the latest event to contribute to that effort. We hosted a family and friends photo session event at the lighthouse after Thanksgiving and have more events planned as we get closer to the New Year! For the event Saturday, all supplies and materials will be provided and your child will return home with a one-of-a-kind decoration that will be treasured for years to come. And we will happily welcome volunteers!
If you’d like to help set up for the crafting fun, join us at 8 o’clock Saturday morning at the Community Center to get everything going. Once the event comes to a close, we will clean up the building and plan to be done by noon. And if you’d like to help during the event, that’d be cool too!
