Obituary for Blanche Jolliff

A native of Ocracoke Island, she was born December 8, 1919, to the late Elizabeth Ballance Howard and Stacy Howard.

A lifelong member of Ocracoke United Methodist Church, Blanche worked as a clerk for the United States Postal Service.

Blanche is survived by three nephews, Frankie Garrish, Wilson Garrish, and Perry Wahab; and numerous great and great-great-nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Guthrie Jolliff; sisters, Lela Grafton Howard, Lois Ann Howard Wahab, and Etta Mae Howard Garrish; a brother, Kenneth Lawrence Howard; a niece, Virginia Wahab Daulton; and a nephew, Roy Wahab.

A funeral will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Ocracoke United Methodist Church with Pastor Richard Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at the Howard Family Cemetery.
