Public Hearing on Offshore Oil Drilling

Speak out on Tuesday, Feb. 20th, 2–4pm @ the Ocracoke Community Center.

Public Hearing on Offshore Oil Drilling
Melinda Fodrie Sutton

NC Secretary of Environmental Quality, Michael Regan, will be in attendance in Swan Quarter; Ocracoke will be hooked up by video link at the Community Center.

This is a great chance to speak to a key decision maker on this issue. Please consider attending and making your feelings known in a 3-minute statement.

There will also be a public hearing on this issue to precede the regular Commissioners' Meeting on March 5th at 5pm. If you can't make the Tuesday meeting and/or if you have additional comments to make, plan to attend the March 5 public hearing at the Ocracoke Community Center by video link or (live) at the Government Center in Swan Quarter.

(This information was provided by county commissioner Tom Pahl, on his "Good Government for Hyde County" Facebook page.)
