Monday, May 1st:
6pm: Board of Commissioners Meeting: The agenda and packets for the Monday May 1, 2017 Hyde County Board of Commissioners meeting are now available to the public. Click here to view the documents. The meeting will take place via teleconferencing equipment in the Ocracoke School Commons Area (120 Schoolhouse Rd,, Ocracoke). The public is invited to attend.
Tuesday, May 2nd:
Relax.... it will be a beautiful spring day on Ocracoke!
And keep an eye out for the OISFT teams! Ocracoke Invitational Surf Fishing Tournament is this week!
Wednesday, May 3rd:
4pm: Play Ball! Ocracoke's Middle School Dolphins will host a home baseball game at the Community Park. Fear the Pod!
5pm: Meet artist and author Jodi Ohl @ Books to Be Red, 5–7pm. She has the most fun art and her book gives you a lot of suggestions on painting.
7pm: Live Music! All are welcome to the OISFT Kick-Off Party @ Howard's Pub. Come out and dance to the Michael Clark Band featuring Tracy Clark. Good times!
Thursday, May 4th:
May the Fourth be with you!
7pm: Live music! Raygun Ruby, your favorite retro-80's band, plays 7-10pm @ Dajio!
7pm: DJ Tommy Hutcherson will spin tunes @ Howard's Pub!
Friday, May 5th:
8pm: Music at the Coyote Den! The Coyote Den is in the Community Square, and will host Martin Garrish and Friends "Playing Your Ocracoke Memories" every Friday night through November. Beloved island native Martin Garrish shares songs – "sign posts of life" – and enchanting stories about growing up on Ocracoke. $15 for adults/$7 for kids under 12. More info at www.coyotemusic.net
Saturday, May 6th:
12noon: Play Ball! Ocracoke Community Park hosts the Youth Baseball League games. The first game is at Noon; the second at 2pm. Come out and cheer on the Ocracoke Marlins and Rays! Concessions will be available.
6pm: Live music! Martin & Friends at Ocracoke Oyster Company, 6:30–9:30pm.
Sunday, May 7th:
8am: Eduardo's Taco Stand is hosting a special fundraiser for Teresa and Albert O'Neal. Carnitas (pork) tacos from 8am–3pm – proceeds will be donated to help with Teresa's medical expenses. Come out and stuff yourself with delicious food for a great cause!
