Current Events Week of January 30th

Monday, January 30th:

Tuesday, January 31st:

10am: Adult Ballet Class @ Deepwater Theater. Ocracoke School of Performing Arts will offer ballet class to adults of ALL experience levels! Classes are $10 for locals. So whether you're dusting of your dance shoes or coming out for your very first class, all are welcome. 

7–9pm: Coyote Music Den's Winter Jams every Tuesday through March. Bring your instrument and join in!

Wednesday, February 1st:

7pm: Trivia Night @ Ocracoke Oyster Company! Come out and show off what you know! Only $2 to play, and all the proceeds go to a good cause! Nerdy winter fun at its best!

Thursday, February 2nd:

10am: Adult HipHop Class @ Deepwater Theater. Ocracoke School of Performing Arts will offer HipHop class to adults of ALL experience levels! Classes are $10 for locals. So whether you're dusting of your dance shoes or coming out for your very first class, all are welcome.

3:15pm: Open Batting Practice @ Ocracoke Community Park. All ages welcome! Fun and informal. 

6–7pm: Democratic Party meeting @ Ocracoke Community Center. Come prepared to give and receive valuable information to organize the Party so that those on Ocracoke can have a voice. 

7–9pm: Word Play Gathering at Coyote Music Den. Spoken, written, stories, songs, something original, or you are reading, any genre, all ages, all "levels" ...

Friday, February 3rd:

8am–12:30pm: Pre-K Registration at Ocracoke School. Register for the 2017-18 school year. Pre-Kindergarten serve students who will be 4 years old by August 31, 2017. Stop by Ocracoke School to set up an appointment and pick up an application.

3:15pm: Soccer Skills Challenge @ Ocracoke Community Park. Prizes for adults and kids! All are welcome! 

3:15pm: Lego Club at the Library! Come out and build -- the library provides the Legos. For Pre-K through 8th grade kids; kids under 7 must have a grown-up with them. 3:15-4:30pm.

4pm: Go Dolphins! Home JV/Varsity Basketball games in the Dolphin Tank. 

Saturday, February 4th:

Go Dolphins! Home JV/Varsity Basketball games in the Dolphin Tank. 

6pm: Live Music! Martin Garrish and Friends @ Ocracoke Oyster Company. 

And best of all.... a slower, quieter time on the island.
