The recommended grants were approved by the commissioners in a 4-1 vote.

At the June 6th Hyde County Board of Commissioners meeting, the following Occupancy Tax appropriations were granted. The motion to approve these recommendations was carried with a 4–1 vote, with commissioner Dick Tunnell voting nay, and the rest, Earl Pugh, John Fletcher, Ben Simmons, and Barry Swindell, voting for the spending.

The Hyde County Board of Commissioners will meet tonight (Monday, June 6th) at 6pm in the Ocracoke School commons.
