Passenger Ferry Study Public Meeting on August 31

The NCDOT Ferry Division will hold a second public meeting for the current passenger ferry study on Monday, August 31, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Ocracoke Community Center.

The NC Ferry Division is currently studying the feasibility of a passenger ferry between Ocracoke and Hatteras. A team of Volkert Inc.'s engineering consultants based in Raleigh are providing the technical assistance and research for the study.

More details regarding the content of the meeting will be released closer to the meeting date. The public is strongly encouraged to attend.
