Ocracoke Community Park's dedication ceremony will be Saturday, April 25th.

Saturday's going to be a big day, with the annual Ocracoke 5K/10K and 1 Mile Family Fun Run in the morning and the Community Park dedication and baseball games in the afternoon.

But until then, there are a few things going on this week...

Today, Monday, April 20th:

Get your discounted plants at the School Plant Sale! Starting at 3pm today, the school will be selling what's left over from Friday and Saturday at discounted prices. Bargain plants!

Middle School Baseball! The Dolphins will take on the Hatteras Hurricanes at 4pm today at the Ocracoke Community Park. Play ball!

The Ocracoke Library Knitting Club is open to everyone, from beginners to experts. Stop by the library at 5pm on Monday. Come out and share your projects and sit 'n' knit!

Tuesday, April 21st:

More baseball! The Blue Claws (5pm) and Raptors (7pm) play in Buxton on Hatteras Island (correction: NOT on Ocracoke.)

The Library Book Club meets at 7pm at the Ocracoke Library. Bring a book to recommend to the group. It can be old or new, fiction or non-fiction – the group wants to hear about it, as they will be choosing the books to read the rest of the year. The book for the May meeting (May 19th) is The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty. Leslie Lanier, over at Books to be Red, has received a bundle of books for May's book club and is offering a 25% book club discount which makes the book a steal at $9.99!

Thursday, April 23rd:

Go Dolphins! The high school baseball team will play a home game at 4pm at the Ocracoke Community Park.

Friday, April 24th:

Find out what's blooming at the Open House at Ocracoke Garden Center, 4 – 6:30pm. Enjoy light refreshments and see all the new flowers, annuals, perennials, veggies, shrubs, and more! The Garden Center also carries pottery and many gift items for the gardener in your life.

Ocracoke School prom night! The fun starts with dinner at the Flying Melon, followed by a dance with a live band (Adrian & Co.) at the Community Center. Carpe diem, beautiful young people!

Saturday, April 25th:
