Hyde County Announces Public Hearing on Development Ordinance

The Hyde County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on Amendment of the Hyde County Code, Ocracoke Development Ordinance, Section 36-172 on Monday, April 6, 2015 beginning at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible.

The public hearing will take place in the Hyde County Government Center Multipurpose Room, Swan Quarter and the Ocracoke School Commons utilizing electronic conferencing equipment.

The purpose of this Public Hearing is to receive citizen questions and/or comments on

Amendment of – Hyde County Code- Article VII, Ocracoke Development Ordinance,

Chapter Thirty-Six; Section 172, Permit Procedure. Access the Ocracoke

A vote by the Hyde County Board of Commissioners on Monday, March 2, 2015 regarding amendment of section 36-172 will remain inactive with no changes made to the Ocracoke Development Ordinance. The Commissioners will make a finalized decision following the public hearing on April 6.
