Count Your Blessings

Special Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, November 23rd at 7pm at the Ocracoke United Methodist Church. Pastor Richard Bryant of OUMC and Pastor Ivey Belch of Ocracoke Assembly of God will join congregations to celebrate Thanksgiving blessings.

UMW Bake Sale: Stop by the Variety Store on Wednesday, November 26th for the annual Thanksgiving bake sale. Take home some whole cakes and pies that your family will be grateful for!

The bake sale starts at 1pm and proceeds benefit the United Methodist Women.

Art Opening at Down Creek Gallery: Come out to the see the beautiful work by photographer Melinda Sutton and enjoy music by Raygun Ruby, adult refreshments, and hors d'oeuvres by Native Seafood and Zillie's. Wednesday evening the 26th starting at 5pm.

Ocracoke Coffee Company is closing for the season after they pour the last drop on Sunday, November 30th. Who isn’t grateful for caffeine?

Zillie’s Island Pantry has events all week: Wine Tastings on Wednesday and Friday (both at 6pm), a Beer Tasting on Saturday (6pm) – call 928- 9036 for reservations. All are welcome to their annual Holiday Open House on Sunday, November 30th,  Noon – 6pm, light refreshments served!

Also open for Thanksgiving week is Eduardo's Taco StandMonday -Wednesday, 8am to 7 pm; Thanksgiving, 8am to 1pm; Friday- Saturday, 8am to 7 pm; Sunday 8am to 3 pm. 

And Thai Moon carry-out, which will be open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 11am – 8pm.

Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner, 11am – 5pm.

Dinner includes: house salad, fresh roasted turkey, garlic mashers and gravy, choice of dressing (traditional or oyster), fresh collard greens, corn casserole, pecan-glazed sweet potatoes, fresh green bean casserole, jellied cranberry, assorted breads and homemade dessert (apple and cherry cobbler, sweet potato or pumpkin pie.)

$18.95 adults; $12.95 children; Free for kids 4 and under!

Live music Thanksgiving week! Wednesday: Martin and Friends, 6 – 9pm; Friday: Ocracoke Rockers, starting at 9pm

Topless Oyster is open every day for lunch and dinner, and serves brunch on Sundays, starting at 10 am.

Dajio

Buffet only, served Noon – 4pm. Roast turkey breast, maple glazed ham, cornbread stuffing, oyster stuffing, horseradish mashed potatoes, braised French beans and shiitakes, apple cranberry sauce, shrimp and grits, and many homemade breads and desserts…….(this is a projected list and subject to additions and deletions with availability of items) Everything is fresh and made from scratch.

Besides Thanksgiving Day, Dajio is open Wed – Sun, 5 – 9pm, and will close for the season after dinner on Saturday, November 29th.

12-item buffet, salad bar, oyster stew, Brunswick stew, crab chowder, and 10 different desserts, and eggnog and tea all for $21.99. Children age 5-12 pay $12.99; kids 4 and younger eat free!

Live music Thanksgiving week!: Wednesday: Barefoot Wade at 8pm; Friday and Saturday: CC Rider at 9pm

Gaffer’s is open every day until 2am, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
