A Great Day at the Races!
In a total field of 256 runners, the Winner of the men’s race was Alfonso "Chito" Guerrero with a course record of 17:24.
Second place over all was Kevin Perez right on Chito’s heels with his personal best of 17:27.
For a perfect birthday, Lulu Perez celebrated by winning with a time of 20:49. She was the Women’s overall winner again, and the third place overall winner was Lulu’s daughter, Karen Perez, with a time of 21:45.

These people don't just run fast – they also run for a great cause. The L.A.S.T. 5K Trail Run is a fundraiser for Love A Sea Turtle, a non-profit that promotes sea turtle conservation, and educates the public about the marine environmental science. L.A.S.T. was founded by high school student Casey Sokolovic, who is also a cross country runner for D.H. Conley High School.
