OVFD Fundraiser
These clinics would not include plug in or battery clocks, only vintage clocks. If a simple repair is possible, he would be able to do that at the same time.
Edgar is not doing this for himself. He is donating any money brought in to the Ocracoke Fire Department. He will offer the following services:
- Evaluate your vintage clock and do a simple fix, if needed for $10.00 each clock.
- Evaluate a pocket watch or a music box and do a simple fix, if needed for $10.00 each.
- Should the clock or music box be too hard to carry, a picture or two would do for an evaluation.
If someone has a floor clock that would need to be seen firsthand, Edgar would charge $75.
To make it easier for scheduling, we need to know how many people would like to participate in this project. If you own a vintage clock, pocket watch, or music box and would like to have it evaluated, please email me at ofpa332@gmail.com. or call me at 928-1881. I need the following information:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address or post office box number
- How many clocks, watches, music boxes you would like to have evaluated
- The specific days that would be better for you
Please contact Janey Jacoby at svc2@embarqmail.com by Saturday August 31.
Edgar plans to arrive on September 10. The clinic would be held at the Methodist Church rec hall due to the fire department being used that week for the Ocracoke Cat Clinic.
Depending upon the number of people who express interest in participating, we will schedule one or two clinics during the week.
