This Quilt Could Be Yours!

This beautiful sampler quilt was lovingly hand-stitched by the Ocracoke Needle and Thread Club (a.k.a. the Quilters). The quilt features nautical and sea-themed blocks that use traditional piecing, applique, crazy quilt piecing or embroidery. Each block is unique, as is every quilt made by the Quilters. 

The Quilters meet weekly to chat and sew; they donate a quilt each year for OPS fundraising efforts, and to other island non-profits. They earn their fabric money by offering quilts on commission.

Raffle tickets are just $1 each or 6 for $5. Run, don't walk, to get yours at the Ocracoke Preservation Society Museum gift shop! You can also check out the quilt in person as it displayed in the Museum's bedroom. Call 252-928-7375 for more information. Museum hours are Monday- Friday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., and Saturday 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The raffle drawing will be on Tuesday, November 13th at the OPS Fall Membership Meeting and Potluck at the Ocracoke Community Center. You don't have to be present to win, but all are welcome to the meeting and potluck!
