Hyde County Update for "No Ferry Tax"

Update for "No Ferry Tax" fight April 2, 2012  

Calls, emails and letters to elected officials have carried some weight, but Hyde County is urging citizens and visitors to remain vigilant in the "No Ferry Tax" fight.

  

The approach to fighting the Ferry Tax is changing as Hyde, Beaufort and Pamlico Counties continue to follow the lead of Lobbyists Joe and Henri McClees, of McClees Consulting in Oriental. Focus has shifted to the legislature in preparation for the opening of the 2012 Legislative Session on May 19. Joe and Henri are in Raleigh regularly meeting with representatives to keep the "No Ferry Tax" issue front and center.
