Police Blotter 3/27/2012

Ocracoke was a law-abiding community last week.

Sergeant Jason Daniels of the Ocracoke Sheriff's Department reported that not a whole lot happened that required officers to intervene.

They charged an off island man with driving 43 mph in the village, where speed limits are 20 - 25 mph.

Daniels had a conversation with someone he heard driving a four wheeler on the highway.  Vehicles with no headlights, tail lights, turn signals, registration or license plates can not drive on state roads.

On Saturday officers didn't want to stop a rocking good time at a new restaurant, but did remind the proprietors that decibel levels need to be lowered after 10 p.m.

No Fools, No Fun.
