Students Raise Money for Outdoor Classroom

Stepping into the multi-purpose room, basketball fans were greeted by enthusiastic first and second grade students. The kids sold delicious baked goods, and raffle tickets for one of three iconic Ocracoke cakes. 

The first and second graders want to thank everyone for their support at the bake sale and cake raffle. The money earned will be used for their outdoor classroom and their classroom libraries.

The lucky winners were John Gilbert (Annie Lou Gaskins's Fig Cake), Jennifer Garrish (her Aunt Kay Riddick's chocolate cake) and  Cassandra Hagins (Hummingbird Cake from Ruth Toth of the Cafe Atlantic.) Congratulations!
