Too Beautiful Not to Share

Sundae Horn

A sampling of Ocracoke School student art.

Last week I had the pleasure of substitute teaching for Kitty Mitchell, Ocracoke's School's art teacher. During Kitty's planning time, I entertained myself by taking photos of the student artwork on the walls. (Full disclosure: I started with my kid's, and then kept going.)

I also got the chance to meet Jesi Franklin, a new student at Ocracoke School, who is planning a career in art. "I can't imagine doing anything else," she said. Her favorite medium is watercolor. She is definitely a young artist to watch.

I knew you all would like to see their beautiful work, too. Enjoy!
