Ocracoke's free Spring Wellness Day is Sunday, April 13.

The day starts with a selection of yoga, tai chi and fitness classes at Angie's Gym. Did I mention that everything is free? The gym will also be open – for free – all day, and the afternoon mini therapy sessions, which include several kinds of massage, hypnotherapy, physical therapy, Reiki, and dietary wellness counseling are also free.

The day is a way to "give back to the community, and a chance for people to receive a taste of wellness therapy," said yoga instructor and massage therapist Amy Hilton, who has organized the annual event for six years. It's also a fun day to gather with clients and other therapists, she said.

You can drop in on a class, or two, or spend all morning getting straighter and stronger, clear your head with a guided meditation, and then enjoy a healthy pot luck lunch.

Keep the prana flowing! There are still appointments available for the afternoon sessions. To schedule yours, "Just call me," said Amy. (252) 921-0182.
