He is the son of Evan Borek and Rachel O'Neal of Ocracoke. His grandparents are David and Kathy O'Neal of Ocracoke, Jane Borek of Eden, NC and the late Anthony Borek. He also has a great-grandmother, Merian Hoggard, who lives on Ocracoke. 

Austin has 12 first cousins, 5 of whom live here on Ocracoke: Hunter, Ethan, Brandt, Will, and Maranda. The other 7 live in Wisconsin, 2 of whom were born just before him in May and June. They are Caylynn, Alexa, Anthony, Cash, Eisley, Addison, and Kyndel.

Austin likes watching Green Bay Packers football with his Daddy, and hanging out in his cabana on the beach with Mommy. He also enjoys long walks with his best friend and four-legged brother Alf. He can't wait to meet all his future classmates that are being born around the island!

Evan works at the Ocracoke Station and Rachel works for the NCDOT. While Mommy and Daddy are working Austin likes to hang out with his cousin Maranda at Mammy and Pappy's house. The proud parents both agree that little Mr. Austin has them wrapped around his little finger!
