Local ladies have been beefing up for the 5th annual competition at Angie's Gym. Angie is supporting WOVV by sponsoring the prizes (for First Place, Runner-Up and Best Costume), in keeping with the attitude at the gym that fitness is fun.

Outer Banks Brewing Station is sponsoring the beer garden. If you plan to imbibe, bring an ID.

The gates at The Community Square will open at 6:30. Entry fees of $10, or $8 for competitors, and a mere $5 for WOVV Members, include chances to win door prizes, like ice cream cones from The Fudge Shop, hot dogs, and cool WOVV swag. The event is fun for the whole family.

A raffle ticket for $3 (or 5 tickets for $10) enters you in multiple drawings, for gift certificates to The Back Porch and Dajio's, for a para sailing adventure, a free week in an Island Carts golf cart, and other stuff you want.

Visitors are encouraged to challenge the creatively costumed island women who turn up to compete. After the event, referee and professional arm wrestler Giles Russell will be on the patio at Dajio. Expect grudge matches and men testing their own mettle.
