Chris Wynn

Christopher Michael Wynn, 44, of Kill Devil Hills, died Monday, May 27, 2013 in Nags Head.

Chris was born in Columbus, Ohio, was a commercial fisherman, and had a passion for hunting, fishing, surfing and cooking. Chris loved to cook and enjoyed the company of his friends.

Chris was a former resident of Ocracoke, where he coached basketball for Ocracoke School, and was also an instructor of hunting safety.

He was the son of William J. Wynn, III and Carolyn Luckhaupt Wynn and the husband of Kelley Midgette Wynn.

Christopher is also survived by his four sons: Christopher J. Wynn, Joseph C. Koerperich, Michael J. Koerperich and David J. Koerperich; one sister: Gina Najem and husband, Lawrence; maternal grandmother, Mary Luckhaupt; two nieces, Nicole and Emily, and one nephew, John. Christopher loved animals and was also survived by his Boston Terrier Reagan. 

A celebration of life will be held at Twiford Colony Chapel, Manteo, on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Steve Siegrist.
