On behalf of The National Endowment for the Arts, The North Carolina Arts Council, and the Beaufort County Arts Council, the Ocracoke Arts Council would like to present:

An Ocracoke Heritage Crafts Class: Crabbing

Monday, March 18th 9AM

  • Pam Morris , educator at The Core Sound Waterfowl Museum, gives a brief history of crabbing on the Outer Banks
  • Rex O’Neal, local Ocracoke legend, demonstrates rigging, baiting and setting crab pots

Tuesday, March 19th 9AM

  • Fishing crab pots with Rex O’Neal

Wednesday, March 20th 10AM

  • John Ivey Wells, chef extraordinaire, leads a crab cooking lesson, Ocracoke style
