Ocracats Needs Help
Without a veterinarian or animal control on the island, we need more people to help in our mission dedicated to the health, welfare and aggressive Trap-Neuter-Release of the free-roaming feral cats on Ocracoke Island, NC.
There are several facets to the organization, but we need help in the following areas:
1. Administration of the organization: board of directors positions
2. Fostering kittens
3. Attending to injured cats
4. Helping with the spay-neuter clinics: trapping cats, assisting on clinic days
5. Taking cats in need of spay-neutering to vets up the beach between clinics
6. Helping to feed feral cat colonies
If you are interested, please join us at a meeting at 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at Lightship Realty, along Lighthouse Road, or call Ruth Fordon at 928-1821.
