Ocracoke Kids Play Ball!

The Blue Claws won the title in their first season ever as a youth league team. Many of the players put on gloves for the first time this year. All their practiced paid off.
The Raptors cruised to a dominant victory 9 - 1, for their second championship in two years. This is the second year the team competed.
The victories are all the more impressive because Ocracoke kids don't have a ball field to practice on. Coaches want to thank Keith and Isabel McDermott for the generous use of their lawn.
The celebrations began on the field and are no doubt continuing on the ferry ride home.
