The Tiger, Wolf and Bear troops conducted a flag ceremony, led their family in friends in the pledge of allegiance, and later performed skits about famous Americans who participated in scouting.

My enthusiasm for attending the event was greatly enhanced when my sister mentioned it included a pot luck dinner. There were taquitos, sausage balls, two different and equally delicious kinds of mac and cheese, pizza, baked beans, submarine sandwiches, and even a lovely green salad.

The boys all looked sharp in their uniforms, and did a great job on stage. We learned that our current and many former US Presidents were all scouts, as well as Harrison Ford, Bill Gates, and Hank Aaron.
