"There is nothing going on," reports Sergeant Jason Daniels. The quiet week was followed by pleasant weekend weather, and a few tourists visited. The department made a few stops and encouraged the off islanders to respect speed limits. No tickets were issued.
Officers assisted EMS with two calls, on Friday evening and again on Saturday.
Deputy William Boyd started Thursday. He is "excited to be here and settling in well," said Daniels.
