Sundae Horn

Ocracoke got 7.5" of accumulated frozen white stuff early Thursday morning.

Yay, two snow days! Ocracoke School was cancelled for both Thursday and Friday, and the kids made sure to frolic in the frosty air. It was cold on Thursday (not that the temps curtailed any fun), but by Friday, it was a balmy mid-40's and the snow started melting into slush. Ah well, it was lovely while it lasted. Ocracoke's winter wonderland doesn't linger long enough to get boring.
