In response to the economic impact on the Ocracoke Community, the Hyde County Manager, Director of Planning and Economic Development and the Public Information Officer will be on the island tomorrow, August 4 at 10:00am in the Ocracoke Community Center.
We will be collecting information from island residents and businesses to begin building a case for restitution of the economic losses related to the power event. We will be instructing both businesses and individuals on how to submit their losses to the county as we move forward in our search for financial restitution.
