Superintendent David Hallac announced today that beginning Sunday, November 1 seasonal ORV routes will reopen in Cape Hatteras National Seashore. 

With no remaining resource protection closures (sea turtle nests) this season, the seasonal ORV routes will reopen to night driving on November 1 at 12:01 a.m.  A permit is required for any off-road vehicle use in Cape Hatteras National Seashore.

The following ORV routes reopen on November 1:

All sea turtle nests have either hatched or were lost during the late season storm event.  ORV routes and ramps are clearly marked in the field with signs and routes markers.
